For the blitz sequences of this two-part story, The Mill requested that the barrage balloons and ack-ack fire were achieved as miniature elements.

A three and a half foot foam and latex balloon was constructed that could be puppeteered against black allowing for realistic movement of both guy ropes and tailfins.
