Once the balloon sequences were completed, an extensive cloudscape constructed from polyester wadding was erected in front of the painted sky backing and shot using a custom-built camera arm constructed by miniature effects Director of Photography Peter Tyler.

These cloudscapes were used as backgrounds for various dream sequences, with a performer shot against greenscreen to suggest the illusion of flight.
