WANTED: A chance for youth to channel its energy productively. RESULT? The Junior Gazette. Press Gang is the story of a teen newspaper and the staff who run it. Sounds innocent enough, right? This BAFTA award winning series features dragons, cruelty to teachers, exam pressure, solvent abuse, bathwater as a beverage,  shotgun suicide and giant pink bunnies all in the first 12 episodes. With the tear-jerking drama of The Rest of My Life, the classic farce of In The Picture, the heart-stopping tension of A Quarter To Midnight and the nerve-jangling tease of There Are Crocodiles, Press Gang fully deserves its reputation as one of the finest Childrens dramas ever made.

Over the next 12 months, SM.net will be celebrating 20 years of The Junior Gazette by revisiting every  episode of Press Gang. We will also be posting character profiles and exclusive new content, including a special 20th anniversary interview with Steven Moffat.
